About Me
I was born and raised in the Netherlands and have lived in the United States since 1987.
I am accredited by the ATA, the largest professional association for translators in the US with members in over 90 countries. The pass rate for the accreditation exam is 20% and ongoing professional education is required to maintain the accreditation, so hiring an ATA-certified translator removes much of the guesswork regarding competence.
I have over a decade of experience in my specialties of medicine and law. The stakes are high in these arenas, and accuracy and clarity are absolutely crucial. What I offer is guaranteed excellence and peace of mind.
I am also a member of the Netherlands Association of Interpreters and Translators (NGTV) and the National Association of Judiciary Interpreters and Translators.
Partnering with Casa de Fe
When you work with Calliope Translations you are also supporting Casa de Fe, a home for abandoned, abused and special-needs children in Ecuador.
Medicine and writing go well together, they shed light on each other and both do better by going hand in hand.
